African stories and narratives
African stories and narratives are meant to be shaped and told by Africans. It's ridiculous to think you could learn or teach about ǃNanseb ǀGabemab (Hendrik Witbooi to some of you) from a western point of view. It's either primitive or savage. Rebellion or poverty. War-torn or illiterate? Culture, stories and narratives never told from a celebratory perspective. It's like how everyone celebrates the bravery of the hunter, because no one cares to hear the lion's version. Not even when the lion wins.
Ignorance is calling this primitive and inappropriate. The only rebellion here is against being rid off. This is strength and pride and it should be celebrated. Life lived fully despite the tangent of the masses.
